Beaulieu 2021
Sep 13 2021
The first Beaulieu autojumble took place in 1967, and since that time it has become ‘The’ place in the UK to find those elusive motor car components to complete any restoration. For a number of years, the De Dion Bouton Club has had a stand at the venue over the three days in early September. It has proven a perfect place to meet old friends, sign up new members, sell regalia, books and various other De Dion Bouton items.
It was inevitable that this year the attendance would be difficult to predict, and so there was slightly less space for stallholders. Even so, Saturday, the 4th was a busy day with more than a hundred visitors to the Club’s stand, with new members signed up, advice offered on all manner of De Dion Bouton-related subjects, and general conversation on every motoring subject you could imagine.
The organisation of the stand was in the capable hands of Justin Fellows, and numerous committee members and others shared the manning of the stand during the three days. There is no doubt that we will repeat the exercise in 2022.
