Model Development improved

Throughout the 35 years of motor vehicle production, the De Dion Bouton company made regular changes to the specifications of the vehicles produced, but the presence of the same key personnel at the helm of the company throughout this period ensured that the changes were gradual. In overall terms, the company was conservative and some of the earliest innovations, including the De Dion rear axle were present on an extensive range of models for more than twenty years.

The development of the various models has now been broken down into different chronological periods and added to the 'Model development'- page.
